about me

A quick intro to who I am, how I work, and what drives my design decisions.

Hi, I’m Nouran,

I design how people move through systems, from physical spaces to digital products.

Before Figma, I spent eight years designing research labs, public buildings, and urban environments. Spaces where movement isn’t accidental, expectations aren’t guessed, and complexity has to quietly disappear.

That way of thinking stayed with me.

With a B.Sc. and M.Arch in Architecture & Urban Planning, I was trained to think in systems, design at scale, and bring structure to complexity. Moving into digital products didn’t feel like a pivot, but like a natural extension, just with different constraints.

Today, I design end-to-end product experiences, with a strong focus on research and design systems, the underlying logic that makes products feel clear, consistent, and considered.

Outside of design, I paint, illustrate, or I’m somewhere mid-way through a ceramic piece that looked much easier in my head.

Hi, I’m Nouran,

I came to product design through architecture — a path through floor plans, urban systems, and the very human question of how spaces make people feel. Turns out, that's just UX with better ventilation.

With a B.Sc. and M.Arch in Architecture & Urban Planning, I trained myself to think in systems, design at scale, and obsess over structure. Making the leap to digital products wasn't a detour — it was the logical next floor.

Having made the full switch to UX/UI, I specialise in research-led design and design systems — the infrastructure that makes beautiful products actually work.

When I'm not designing, I'm painting, illustrating, or somewhere mid-way through a ceramic piece that humbled me.
